Chosen students

On 25th of May in Kinoteka in Palace of Culture and Science, BIGRAM organized the national ENACTUS POLAND 2015 competition.

The event gathered nearly 300 students and more than 100 judges –  presidents, directors, experienced managers who evaluated student initiatives among them:  Zbigniew Jagiełło, President of PKO Bank Polish Beata Janczur, Vice-President of Credit Agricole; Wojciech Król, Vice-President of Colgate Palmolive CEE; Ireneusz Martyniuk, President of Polpharma; Dariusz Mazurek, CEO of Capgemini Application Services; Beata Stola, Member of the Board of UPC Poland; Elizabeth Wojcik, Vice-President of Aviva.

Enactus is an international program currently operating in 36 countries, gathering more than 70 500 members out of 1,700 university. It’s an initiative which connect business leaders, academic employees and students. (to see more visit:

Projects were presented to judges by 8 qualified teams representing: University of Gdansk, University of Lodz, Warsaw University, Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences, Warsaw University of Technology, Technical University of Lodz, Warsaw School of Economics, Warsaw School of Life Sciences.

Judges assessed the student projects according to Enactus criteria. They also checked if they contributed significant improving the standard of living of the beneficiaries in economic, environmental and social areas. Judges were checking if projects are innovative and if they brought value to the local community by adapting business models.

Judges decided that team from Warsaw School of Life Science  will present their projects during the Enactus World Cup in Johannesburg (October 2015). Students from Warsaw presented two ongoing initiatives: project “Aphasia,” which resulted in the unique application supporting in communication with the surrounding people affected by aphasia. University of Lodz won the vice-champion title. They presented the innovative project “Sweet Help” with support parents of children with diabetes while giving seniors an additional source of income, and upcycling project ReFashion.

Judges were inspired by the ideas of students, their activities and commitments. For partners and companies present on the competition was also a great opportunity to talk and get to know future leaders. They also have a chance to see how the young generation in practice solves important problems and take entrepreneurial action. For more information visit:
