CEOs are choosing the best CSR projects in Poland

Supporting students from the eastern borders in acclimatization at Polish Universities, women’s self-defense orrevitalisation of Kamionka, forgotten part of Praga district are one of many projects which will be presented on Enactus Poland Competition. Projects will be assessed by 120 CEOs and board members of Polish and international companies.

Over 120 CEOs, board members and top managers will take part in Enactus Jury, among them: Jowita Twardowska – Communication Director, LOTOS Group, Marcin Lewandowski – Board Member, GPEC Group, Małgorzata Bartler – Board Member, Alior Bank, Magdalena Chabińska-Rossakowska – Board Member, DHL, Piotr Dziwok – Chairman of the Board, Shell Poland, Agnieszka Świergiel – Chairman, Imperial Tobacco, Dorota Strojkowska – Human Resources Department Director, PKO Bank Polski, Wojciech Uchman – Vice-chairman, Virgin Mobile. Special guests of the event are Szymon Kudła, motivational speaker and representatives of sponsors and partners PKO Bank Polski, AIG, Budimex, Lotos Group, GPEC Group, McDonald’s.

Enactus is the biggest organisation in the world that connects academic and business worlds in realisation of initiatives for local communities. Enactus representative and main partner in Poland is BIGRAM – a personel consulting company.

Students from universities that are members of Enactus carry out tens of initiatives and projects as volunteers, develop their skills and gain practical business experience. Once a year they have a possibility to present their achievements on Enactus National Competition where they are assessed by business Jury.

Enactus Poland 2016 competition which sums up academical year 2015/2016 will take place on 6th June in Kinoteka in Warsaw. It will be an all-day meeting of Presidents and Directors with the most talented students.

During the competition 12 teams representing 12 universities belonging to Enactus such as Gdansk University, Warsaw School of Economics, Lodz University of Technology, AGH University of Science and Technology, Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW and others will present their projects. All presentations will be conducted in English. At the end of the day Jury will nominate one team with the greatest achievements that will represent Poland in Toronto on Enactus World Cup in September 2016.

This time students will present projects that are focused on seniors activation to take care of diabetic children in Lodz, building houses in Tricity, women’s self-defense in Wroclaw, supporting students from the eastern borders in acclimatization at Polish Universities, modern application that helps in managing of home budget and learning enterpreneurship, revitalisation of Kamionka – forgotten part of Praga district in Warsaw and many others.

Last year the winner of Enactus Poland was Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW team that created a unique application helping people with aphasia to communicate with environment and a website with information about the disease. Partners of Enactus gave two special awards. Warsaw School of Economics was awarded by PMI Poland Chapter with „Best Practice in Project Management” award for business model of start up project focused on healthy juices production and PKO Bank Polski awarded Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW with „Most Effective Business Concept” award for project Economizer that uses gamification to teach saving money at schools.
